Duo architect and Joakim Frederik Kjellgren Kaminsky from Kjellgren Kaminsky Architecture have completed the ballroom who won a new competition in Falsterbo, Sweden, which they won in 2006.
This building has existed since 1930 as a popular meeting place for locals and tourists, but unfortunately destroyed by fire on May 30, 2006. After the rebuild, old buildings which consist only dance floor and bar, has evolved into two restaurant for 250 people, kitchen, lounge with a stage and second floor with roof terrace, adding up to a total of 1600 sqrm to host 1500 people.
The facades of buildings are clad board fibercement graphite gray and mirror glass. The mirror is placed in a pattern inspired by the wooden facade and windows of an old dance hall. Prefabricated concrete elements are used for the development submitted two advantages.
